FLIP THE BELT?

Flip the belt (bottom cover becoming top cover)?

If the top cover is worn out while the bottom cover is still good, it could be useful to turn the belt over.

Things to be carefully considered before doing so are, inter alia,

- the wear profile of the original top cover which may cause tracking problems, especially for small troughing angles;

- there should be sufficient rubber over the steel cords (for steel cord and pulley protection);

- the splice strength may have suffered, so the safety factor has to be double-checked.
